Welcome Our first day after arrival was New Zealand's national day, Waitangi Day, February 6th 2006 - celebrating the signing of the Treaty between the Maori and the British government in 1840. We spent some time down by the beach at Sumner, just south of Christchurch. A beautiful welcome to New Zealand. |
