The Environment

We have been concerned for a number of years now about the escalating crisis in the planetary environment. In fact, our main reason for considering emigration to New Zealand is that it represents to us a safe haven, a sanctuary, in a world that is becoming increasingly liable to sudden and catastrophic breakdown in both fuel and food production.

The complex inter-relationships between the energy crisis and the problems posed by global warming represent a very real and serious threat to our survival, and indeed to the survival of all life on Earth. New Zealand's remote location, its relatively low population density, and its fertile natural resources, all combine to make it one of the safest and most attractive countries in the world.
