At Castlewich, we subscribe to what Aldous Huxley called the
Perennial Philosophy - the concept that essentially all great religions, at their
heart, are teaching the same fundamental truths. For this reason, we honour and
revere all religious traditions, and seek to avoid disagreements and conflict.
The central truths are these: that the spiritual quality of existence is senior to
the material desires, that there is life after death, that we are all subject to
moral and ethical laws, that there is karmic justice and that we all have to justify
our actions - and finally, that the Universe is created and ordered by a benign and
loving Infinite Intelligence, and that we should seek to live our lives in peace and
harmony, in alignment with universal energy, acknowledging and respecting the true
source of all life - God.
